Ireland – Lismore too – is too beau for words! Driving up the “Vee” passage and running into “woolly” traffic jams was awesome! So many postcard – perfect bviews. Lismore is the perfect central spot for day trips to Cork, Waterford, Kilkenny & coastal towns. Theresa gave us a warm welcome with apple pie and cream – this cottage is wonderful! Our kids met girls their own age and often ran to the playground and library. Castle Lodge was great for fab meals & Guinness! The gardens at Lismore castle are so worth it! Awful storm on arrival but a welcoming tart provided by Theresa and her home made scones. Lovely area with many contrasts. Kilkenny a highlight as was Ballygarthmore. Woods wonderful for our daily dog walks. Clonea beach provides easy access with excellent country views. Two bathrooms!! What a treat not having to share with Steve, the icing on a very delicious cake of holiday. Particularly enjoyed the Whiskey roulade and toffee cheesecake (the White horses – Ardmore), the tapas (Barcas – up the road), the whole lunch at the Tannery – Dungarvan. We got a tan in the garden and a soaking at the Vee – but loved it all.

"March 16th – 18th 2006 After a snowy journey through the mountains we received a very warm reception. The fire was glowing and the homemade scones and tea were very welcome. Thank you Teresa!. The quaint terraced cottage opened tardis-like into a very spacious and well furnished holiday home. Plenty of room for 6. Lovely kitchen if you feel the need to cook. Cosy lounge with a real fire. Really comfortable beds. Nice big garden. Lismore is a beautiful and welcoming small town in the heart of County Waterford. The pubs and restaurants provide good food and friendly service. Take your singing voice (or a friend who has one) and join in the fun. Hope to go back

"Delightful place and real home from home. We were especially happy to have the help from caretaker Teresa who was a real 'good neighbour'. The cottage is excellently kept and thoughtfully furnished with even details like games for the children. The only flip-side was having to feed the electric meter but we discovered that it only guzzled electricity if we used too many appliances - but we agree this is the only fair way of paying for the electricity and prevents abuse. We will definitely return and will recommend our friends."

"We had a fantastic week in this cottage in June 2005. The owners have done a great job of doing it up, and we had everything we needed for a 2 and a half month old baby. Theresa and family who live next door and look after the cottage were brilliant and taught us hurling and even took us along to a game. There is a great selection of pubs in Lismore which serve a mean pint of Guinness, and we had some excellent food (especially at the Tannery in Dungarvan which is Jameson’s restaurant of the year and still half the price of most places in Kerry). I even got sun burnt in the back garden!"
